Design Council Busan ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: 2024-83 Result Announcement for the 1st Round review(Online) and 2nd Round Actual Pieces Submission of the 2024 International Busan Design Award We are pleased to announce the results of the first round of the 2024 International Busan Design Award, which are attached. Please review the details below in preparation for the second round review. Thank you. May 16th, 2024 Chairman of the International Busan Design Award 1. The result of the 1st round review as attached 2. Schedule for the Actual Pieces submission and 2nd round review A. Actual piece submission 1) Method of submission: hand-carrying or using courier service 2) Submission period: from June 20(Thu) to June 24(Mon) (10:00~18:00)* Include saturday and sunday 3) Submission Address: : F1(Exhibition Hall), 57, Centumdong-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, Korea. tell (051-790-1091~2) 4) Form of submission: Foam board panel or penal is mandatory to submit * 3D model is optional ※ The actual piece must meet the requirements of the submission For more information, please visit the award website at (https://adp.dcb.or.kr/ibda/guide) ※ Please make sure to submit your work with a repacking case when displaying a 3D model. (Prized entries will be moved to BEXCO for the award exhibition) ※ Excluded from the prize if the pieces are not submitted within the 2nd round submission period. Final Annoucement: Plan to July 1(Mon). 2024 [Important notice for shortlisted candidates residing outside of Korea] - Those who are shortlisted for the 1st round review and live outside of Korea will be provided a panel printing service (A1-sized foam board panel) free of charge. - If the participants would like to send the actual 3D model rather than an A1-sized panel, please send it to us within the submission period. - All postage, including returns, and the liability for damages are the responsibility of the sender. Submission Period: Feb. 1 (Thu) – May. 7 (Tue), 2024 F. Exhibition Period: Oct. 24 (Thu) - Oct. 27 (Sun), 2024 [originally scheduled for Jun. 13 (Thu) to Jun. 16 (Sun)]※ Reason for change: Changes in the schedule of Busan Design Week event, leading to adjustments in exhibition and award ceremony schedules. General public: Undergraduate and graduate students, all individuals and organizations b. Youth: Elementary, secondary, or high school students, or youth under 18 - Personal submission or group submission of maximum 4 designers are accepted(maximum 2 pieces of design per each entry) - Group submission (maximum 4 designers) must specify the one main designer and assistant designers - One representative award will be granted for winning design piece of Group Submission (However, all participants can receive certificates of entry and details of award via ADP website) c. Communication Design and Service Design - Communication design including advertising, graphics, CI, BI, video, multimedia content and all areas of service such as design shared value design, social innovation design, etc. b. Product Design and Environmental Design - Comprehensive product designs for consumer goods, industrial goods, etc. and environmental designs such as architectural and public designs c. Craft and Fashion Design - Comprehensive craft designs such as metals, ceramics, woodwork, paintings, varnishing, textiles, etc. and fashion designs such as clothing, accessories, etc. 5. Winning entries will be supported for online and offline exhibitions and promotion of award-winning works D. Registration of Intellectual Property Right will be supported for Grand, Gold, Silver, Bronze winners, and winners in organizations of their choice (Registration fee supported) E. Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners who reside abroad will be supported with travel fees if they wish to participate in the awards ceremony (USD300) - Airfare is not applicable F.
